President Obama is in Chicago this weekend, raising money for Democrats.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- President Barack Obama made another trip home Friday, to attend fundraisers in Chicago.

Air Force One arrived at O'Hare International Airport around noon Friday. A few hours after his arrival, Obama stopped at 69 West Washington in the Loop to early vote.

At O'Hare, the president was greeted by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, his one-time chief of staff, who joined the president aboard Marine One for the shorter flight to Soldier Field.

From there, the motorcade sped to the North Side and a fundraiser at the home of wealthy Democratic donor Dred Eychaner. Among the invited guests there were House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin and members of the Illinois Congressional Delegation.

Ninety minutes or so later, the presidential motorcade headed south for a surprise visit to early voted. There had been an earlier mistaken report that he would cast an absentee ballot.

Then a return to the Gold Coast home of billionaire J.B. Pritzker for the afternoon fundraiser. So far, the visit has been all about politics and nothing about government so presumably it's happening at minimum taxpayer expense.

Obama was rumored to be attending the Cubs game Friday night, but he had dinner at West Loop steakhouse Swift & Sons with people related to his foundation. With nothing on his schedule for Saturday, there are rumors he will find his way to Wrigley Field for game two.

On Sunday, the president has scheduled a campaign event for candidate Tammy Duckworth and others.
