Olachi Etoh charged in kidnapping of 2-year-old boy at O'Hare

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Olachi Etoh, 24, was charged with kidnapping after she allegedly grabbed a 2-year-old boy at O'Hare Airport and tried to leave with him.

The boy was standing with his mother in the lower Terminal 3 baggage area at O'Hare when police said Etoh forcibly picked him up and tried take him down an escalator around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

His mother was able to retrieve him shortly after he was taken. Police said neither the mother nor the boy know the offender.

Etoh, of the 3400-block of North Halsted Street, was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping and misdemeanor battery.

She is due in bond court on Wednesday.
