Thousands of Chicago kids living in public housing getting free winter coats

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Keeping children warm is the focus of an event in Chicago Saturday morning to help those in need.

The Chicago Housing Authority teamed up with Operation Warm to give away new winter coats to children living in public housing.

The event starts at 9 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m. at the UIC Forum, with 10,000 coats being given away,
