CHICAGO (WLS) -- One hundred thirty one endangered baby Blanding's turtles were hatched at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago.
The new arrivals measure between - to 1-inch long and tip the scales (soaking wet) at less than an ounce, according to the nature museum.
The turtles will live at Peggy Notebaert for one to two years before they are allowed to grow in a predator-free environment and then released into the wild.
