Police pursuit ends with crash at Guaranteed Rate Field

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police say they were attempting to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation Thursday afternoon on the South Side when the driver refused to stop.

The driver refused to stop and a pursuit ended when the vehicle struck a tree at the Gate 1 entrance near the White Sox Players Parking lot.

According to authorities, the 20-year-old male driver was taken into custody and taken to the hospital in good condition. A female passenger was treated at the scene.
