2 killed in crash on I-88 in North Aurora, Illinois State Police say

NORTH AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- Two people died in a crash on I-88 on Saturday night, Illinois State Police said.

The crash happened at about 8:10 p.m. on the westbound lanes of I-88 near Mitchel Road in North Aurora, police said.

Two cars were involved in the crash. ISP said two people died at the scene.

No other details regarding the crash were available.

ISP said lanes were temporarily closed during the investigation. All lanes reopened by 1:19 a.m.
