3 cops, child, another person hospitalized after South Side crash
Three Chicago police officers, a child, and another person were injured in a South Side crash on Sunday evening, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three Chicago police officers, a child, and another person were injured in a South Side crash on Sunday evening, Chicago police said.

Both CFD and CPD responded to the scene near East 63rd Street and South Indiana Avenue in the city's Washington Park neighborhood.

Police said officers in an unmarked squad car were responding to a call of a person with a gun when they were involved in a crash with a white sedan.

Two female officers were transported to hospitals with minor injuries and were both listed in fair condition, police said.

A male officer was transported to a hospital with minor injuries and was listed in fair condition, police said.

The 32-year-old woman driving the sedan declined medical attention at the scene.

A 41-year-old male passenger suffered a neck fracture and was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, police said.

A three-year-old girl was transported to Comer Children's Hospital, where she was listed in fair condition, police said.

A 3-year-old female sustained a fractured tibia and was transported to Comer Children's Hospital, where she is listed in fair condition.

Police said hte driver of the sedan was issued a citation.
