Prosecutors said Geyser cut off her ankle monitor and traveling all the way here to Posen.

Geyser was the subject of a nationwide search for about a day, until police found her sleeping on the sidewalk with another person outside a Posen gas station.

Body camera video obtained from Posen police shows Geyser expressing concern for the person she was found with.

She initially gave officers a fake name, then told them they could Google her to find out who she was.

Geyser was 12-years-old when she and an accomplice lured a classmate into the woods and stabbed her repeatedly, all in an effort to appease a fictional character on the internet known as "Slender Man."

The victim survived and Geyser was ultimately found not guilty, by reason of mental disease and sentenced to a mental health institution.

Payton Leutner told ABC's David Muir in 2019 she was not concerned about her attackers anymore: "If they come near me they're going right back in. When they get out I don't thing it's going to change my life."

Geyser was released earlier this year - to a group home. Geyser spent most of her sentence in a mental health institution before being placed in the group home earlier this year.

Geyser's attorney believes she perhaps was led astray in all this.

Legal experts say Geyser's choice not to fight extradition could work in her favor.

"There may be the slightest advantage to cooperating because one of the things she is gonna have to convince the state of Wisconsin is that she should be released to a community home and not to a mental institution," ABC7 Legal Consultant Gil Soffer said.

The person she was found with - has been charged with criminal trespass and obstructing identification.

Geyser faces no charges in Illinois; once Wisconsin authorities pick her up, the case is over in Illinois.

"By waiving the extradition hearing, Ms. Geyser has sped up the process of returning to Waukesha County to face the consequences of violating her conditional release. Our office remains committed to protecting the community and ensuring this case moves forward without delay. Her alleged actions this past weekend only reinforce our position that a conditional release is not appropriate at this time," Waukesha District Attorney Lesli Boese said.
