'Asian Takeout' improv comedy team serves up laughs and representation

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A hilarious sketch comedy show is bringing the talents of Asian American comedians to the stage.

Asian Takeout is improv group based in Chicago - with the goal of amplifying performers of Asian American and Pacific Islander descent.

The team has a monthly show that takes place on the second Sunday of every month at Kamehachi Sushi in Old Town. It's called "Today's Specials", a variety show with different "appetizers" (performers, stand-up, music) and a long form improv set.

During the show audience members can order from a special "Asian Takeout" menu that includes a signature cocktail that's only available during the show.
