
CHICAGO (WLS) -- It's a high point of the season, the Broadway In Chicago free Summer Concert, and it's happening Monday.
On the program are key performances from 13 shows you can see at area theaters.
ABC7's Hosea Sanders is co-hosting the event with Val Warner, and he got a preview of the musical extravaganza.
Every August, the very best of stage entertainment are all in one place, a buffet of song and dance.
The price is right, as all of it is free.
"The Outsiders" share a preview of what's going on at the Cadillac Palace.
"The Notebook" is at the Nederlander right now, but it will be sampled in the open air.
"Jekyll & Hyde" is coming to the Broadway Playhouse on September 8.
"Waitress" is an encore serving in October at the Nederlander.
Tony-winning hit "Maybe Happy Ending" hits Chicago early next year, with a first look on Monday.
"Heathers" gives a sneak preview at the concert of the musical set for next summer.
Just in time for Christmas, "The Sound of Music" will be at the Cadillac Palace
Coming this winter , "The Who's Tommy" starts the game early.
All of that talent, the music and spectacle, will be at the Pritzker Pavilion on Monday evening.
Hosea and Val will get things rolling at 6:15 p.m. Attendees should get there early for a seat, or just chill out on the lawn in Millennium Park.
People can start going into the Pritzker Pavilion at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Showtime is 6:15 p.m., rain or shine.
