Avondale bakery owners on why they're running Chicago Marathon 2025

CHICAGO (WLS) -- It's marathon week in Chicago, and a couple of bakers are taking a break from the daily grind, to challenge themselves in a different way.

Loaf Lounge is located in Avondale. Their chocolate cake has been made famous on "The Bear."

Now, owners Sarah Mispagel and Ben Lustbader are running 26.2 miles for a cause, near and dear to their hearts.

They joined ABC7 Chicago Monday to talk more about it.

They are running for the Alzheimer's Association, and talked about balancing training with early mornings at the bakery.
