
CHICAGO (WLS) -- The long-awaited Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park opens to the public on June 19, but tickets to the museum go on sale Wednesday morning.
The foundation expects high demand when the queue opens at 9 a.m.
People can purchase up to nine tickets and weekend and summer dates are expected to sell out quickly.
You may experience a wait, they said, while making your purchase, but know that spots in the electronic line are saved.
So how much will it cost you?
Prices range from $23 to $30 for general admission, $15 to $26 for people who live in Illinois and kids who are under 2 get in for free.
People who live in Illinois can also take advantage of free days on Tuesdays.
Leaders said museum exhibits explore the promise of democracy and the work of the Obama presidency.
Through immersive storytelling and interactive installations, guests will engage with the legacy of America's first Black president and First Lady and reflect on the enduring power of civic participation.
Some people got a sneak peek at the center during its soft opening this week, which will help prepare for the grand opening next month.
Tickets are available June 19 through November 30.
While museum entry requires a timed ticket, all other areas of the 19.3 acre campus are free to the public.
