
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Four children were shot on the city's South Side on Saturday night, Chicago police said.
Police said officers responded to the scene near East 45th Street and South Prairie Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood just after 9:30 p.m.
There, officers found four boys who had been shot. Investigators believe a suspect took out a gun and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
A 12-year-old boy, shot in the leg, was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.
A 13-year-old boy, shot in the foot, was transported to the same hospital, where he is also listed in good condition.
Another 13-year-old boy, shot in the leg, was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.
A 14-year-old boy, grazed in the back, was transported to Comer Children's Hospital, where he is listed in fair condition.
Area One detectives are investigating. Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
