The crash happened after classes were over for the day, and Burbank police said no injuries were reported.

School spokesperson Mike Madera said the driver was not a student or anyone associated with the school.

Out of an abundance of caution, students will shift to remote learning for the rest of the week, so safety assessments can be conducted and repairs made.

Madera issued a statement, saying, "Earlier this afternoon, a vehicle struck the exterior of St. Laurence High School along Central Avenue. Thankfully, no St. Laurence students, faculty, or staff were injured in the incident, as it occurred after school ended while nobody was in the affected classroom. Emergency responders arrived quickly to assist, and our thoughts and prayers are with the driver involved.

As a precaution, and to allow time for safety assessments and necessary repairs to the affected area, St. Laurence will transition to remote learning for the remainder of the week. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

We are grateful for the swift response of local first responders and for the continued support of our St. Laurence community."

What led up to the crash was not immediately clear.

Further information was not immediately available.
