Lake Street Bridge to be closed for 3 years for rehabilitation work, CDOT says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Lake Street Bridge over the south branch Chicago River downtown will soon close, and it is expected to be closed for three years, CDOT said.

Work is being done on the bridge between Canal Street and Wacker Drive.

The bridge will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic starting October 6, CDOT

The work is expected to last until 2028.
