Man killed in hit-and-run crash in Gresham, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday, Chicago police said.

The crash happened at about 3:23 a.m. in the 7600 block of S. Stewart Avenue, police said.

Police said a 31-year-old man was found on the street. He was taken to the University of Chicago where he died.

Police said the victim was struck by a vehicle and the driver allegedly did not stop.

Nobody is in custody.

Chicago police did not provide further information about the suspect vehicle.
