Crash-and-grab suspects target Loop sandwich shop's ATM, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police were investigating a smash-and-grab robbery in the Loop Friday.

ABC7 was at the scene at about 5:50 a.m. at Clark and Van Buren streets at the Americana Submarine Shop.

Chicago police said the suspects crashed a black SUV into the building at about 5:17 a.m.

Three people crashed a SUV into the shop and took the ATM, police said.

CPD said the suspects then drove off in a white SUV, possibly an Acura MDX.

No injuries were reported.
