CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least three businesses across the city were broken into overnight into Thursday; police say their ATMs seemed to be the target.
Surveillance video from ChiTown Food & Deli in the Loop shows a white SUV pull up on Wabash just after 3 a.m.
Two people get out and a third suspect remains in the car, as they start smashing the glass window to break in.
The owner told ABC7 the thieves went after their ATM but weren't successful in stealing it, or any money.
"Thank God they didn't take anything, and this is really crazy. I can't even believe this is happening in the Loop downtown Chicago," Yousif Abdulla said.

Abdulla was left to clean up about $1,000 worth of damage on Thursday morning.
He said they just opened the business two weeks ago.
"We came down here to invest. We've spent a lot of money, trying to serve the people around here. But I didn't expect it to have something like that," Abdulla said.
The entire event lasted just over one minute.

He says thankfully his alarms went off quickly, allowing police to respond in less than five minutes.
But that wasn't the final stop on what appears to be a break-in spree.
In Rogers Park, Exotic Food & Snacks on Sheridan Road was also broken into around 3:45 a.m. The ATM was also tampered with, but wasn't stolen.
"In this area there's been a lot of burglaries going around. So that it's spreading around the city is honestly pretty crazy," said Maria, with Exotic Food & Snacks. "It still takes a good chunk of money to get all of this fixed; I think it was very unnecessary for nothing important to be taken and to have to waste all this money on everything getting fixed for no reason. They should've just left the shop alone."
Ten minutes after that, Sluggers in Wrigleyville was hit.
The owner said three suspects were also seen on surveillance video breaking in and going after their ATM.
The thieves tried to pry it open and failed. Then, drove off in a similar white vehicle.
Sluggers said they've been burglarized about four times in the past three years.
The owner said their No. 1 competition right now is crime in Chicago.
Crews were boarding up damage Thursday afternoon.
CPD says no one is in custody in any of the incidents, and its unclear if they are connected.
