CHICAGO (WLS) -- A winter storm moving through the Chicago area Friday morning could create a slick commute.
ABC7 Accuweather Meteorologist Tracy Butler said the storm is mostly dumping snow with some occasional sleet and graupel mixed in, especially in the southwest suburbs.
Butler said the snow will continue into the morning rush until about 9 a.m. and then begin start diminishing.
There will be occasional bursts of snow in the afternoon.
The storm is expected to dump about half an inch to two inches of snow accumulation, Butler said.
Temperatures are expected to drop off Friday night with scattered snow showers.
