Flooding concerns in Chicago area after soaking rain showers Sunday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- There is a chance for potentially severe storms to move through the Chicago area Wednesday evening.
There is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Cook and DuPage counties until 7:15 p.m.
There is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for LaSalle County until 7:15 p.m.
There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle, Lake (IL), McHenry and Will counties until 10 p.m.
The Storm Prediction Center had the city of Chicago, most suburbs and Northwest Indiana under a Level 2 risk for severe weather Wednesday. There is a Level 1 risk for areas to the areas far west and south of the Chicago area.

Rain showers had already begun moving through the area Wednesday afternoon.
Thunderstorms that developed in southwest Wisconsin were on track to enter the Chicago area during the afternoon and early evening hours, ABC7 AccuWeather meteorologists said.

The storms were expected to move out of the Chicago area by 10 p.m.
Thursday will be partly cloudy, with high temperatures in the upper-70s.
