CPD issues alert on attempted kidnapping in Humboldt Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police issued an alert Sunday about an attempted kidnapping in Humboldt Park over the weekend.

Police said a suspect got out of a white sedan in the 900-block of North Pulaski Road about 6:15 p.m. Saturday night.

The suspect then grabbed the victim by the hair and told the victim to get into the suspect's vehicle at knifepoint, police said.

After a brief struggle, the victim was able to alert bystanders to help. The victim was able to get away, police said.

The male suspect was wearing a red baseball hat, police said.
