Family, neighbors asking for information to help Chicago police find wanted driver

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have released images of an SUV wanted in connection with hit and-run in the Pilsen neighborhood that killed a woman just before her wedding day.
Crime Stoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest of the person who killed Marcella Herrera.
Police have released surveillance photos of a dark-colored Dodge Journey, a four-door SUV, that police said hit the 22-year-old Herrera and her 21-year-old fiancé while traveling northbound on Ashland Avenue.
Police said the driver killed Herrera and seriously injured her partner on July 19 before driving off.
The family told ABC7 the couple were set to get married next month as loved ones gathered over the weekend to honor Herrera's life. They said remembering her life at the very intersection she died was about making sure their calls for justice were heard.
"People don't think and things happen and they hurt families and they think it is just fine just to be out driving crazy, reckless and it breaks people," Francisco Herrera, the victim's younger brother, said.
"How is there a life without her because we grew up together, we have a big family and each one of us had a special bond with her and with each other" Montes Barrera, the victim's cousin, said.
Police said the suspected SUV will also have a broken right headlight and potential damage to the front right bumper.
