
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man and woman were wounded in a shooting on the South Loop Monday morning, Chicago police said.
The shooting took place at about 3:29 a.m. in the 2200-block of South Michigan Avenue.
Police said a 46-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were standing outside when a male suspect approached, took out a gun and fired in their direction.
The man was wounded twice in the abdomen and transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said.
The woman was wounded in the abdomen and back and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was listed in fair condition, police said.
No one is in custody and a gun was recovered on the scene. Area Three detectives are investigating.
