
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot to death after being approached by a group of suspects, Chicago police said.
It happened at about 11:20 a.m. in the 100-block of S. Springfield Avenue on Wednesday, police said.
Police said the 31-year-old man was outside when a group of male suspects walked up to him.
At least one person started shooting and struck the man multiple times.
The 31-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.
The suspects fled on foot, police said.
No other injuries were reported. Nobody is in custody.
