I-55 lanes closed after rollover crash involving dump truck hauling gravel on SW Side, ISP says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Multiple lanes of the Stevenson Expressway were closed on Monday after a dump truck hauling gravel rolled over, ISP said.

The crash happened at about 12:53 p.m. on the northbound lanes of I-55 at California, police said.

A truck tractor dump trailer hauling gravel rolled over, ISP said.

Two people were taken to area hospitals with injuries, police said.

All northbound lanes were shut down at Damen for cleanup until approximately 3:35 p.m., ISP said.

The left lane and left shoulder remained closed.
