CHICAGO (WLS) -- As Chicago starts the weeks with sunny skies and record-warmth, ABC7 meteorologists are keeping an eye on the chance of severe weather on Tuesday.
There will be plenty of sunshine on Monday with temperatures reaching 70 degrees, ABC7 meteorologists said.
However, a warm front is expected to lift into the area on Tuesday, bringing in the chance for severe weather in the late afternoon and evening.
Expect a dry morning commute; rain chances begin to increase after 2 p.m.
Most of Chicago, including south and southwest suburbs were placed under a Level 3 risk.
The north and northwest suburbs are under Level 2 risk.

The window for severe weather will be between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Large hail is the biggest threat; there is also a chance for tornadoes and damaging winds.

As for Wednesday, temperatures will be falling and rain may end as a wintry mix later in the morning.
