CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago is wrapping up another summer in style as crowds packed the Chicagoland area on Saturday for all sorts of festivals and fun.
Rain came down throughout the day, but that did not stop people from enjoying all the city has to offer.
Over at Navy Pier, the Chicago Live Festival was capped off with one more round of fireworks to end the season, as well as an array of live music for people to take in.
"We finally came to see the fireworks, we missed it the entire season, and they have good food and music," a Chicago resident named Ahsan said.
Blues legend Buddy Guy was a special guest on stage to end the evening.

There was plenty more of that around the city Saturday with the Jerk Seafood and Vegan festival bringing the culture to the Near West Side.
"I really love the sense of community involvement, great food, great entertainment so you can't beat it.," JSV festival performer Nina Henderson said.
The festival was jamming out to live music while people enjoyed all types of local food and drinks, as well as several local vendors selling unique merchandise.
"It is awesome we service about 50 neighborhoods in Chicago's district, and today we have sold over 100 cups of lemonade so that is phenomenal for us today," said Angel Davis with Lemonade Angels.
It was more of the same in Waukegan Saturday, where crowds filed in for Fiesta Sin Frontera, featuring special music and food celebrating the Mexican culture.

"I love Summertime Chi, I'm gonna miss her, but something about our winters make it so when summer comes back around we enjoy it a lot better it and savor it differently," Henderson said.
People are trying to soak up all that's left of the festival season as another summer comes to a close.
"This is my first time," Ahsan said. "I've only been in the states for three months, so for me all this is very new, so the summer was good. Let's hope the winter is good too."
Riot Fest is also being held in Douglass Park this weekend, and there was a special appearance from John Stamos on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, day two of the first-ever Oktoberfest with the Cubs wrapped up outside Wrigley Field.
Starting at noon Sunday is the last chance to take part in the fun and enjoy authentic German food, carnival rides, live music and more.
Tickets start at $15, and kids 10 and under get in free.
Dogs and their people were invited to the Chicago Riverwalk Saturday for "Barktoberfest." This is the fourth year for the event.
Along with the walk, there was a chance to check out local pet vendors, take part in dog friendly activities and take some photos. The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk hosted the event.
