Chicago's Asador Bastian named best steak restaurant in North America

It's located in a vintage townhouse in River North at 214 W Erie Street.

Chef Doug Psaltis and Chef Hsing Chen curated the chophouse cuisine with a Basque-inspired touch.

The ranking is from the World's Best Steak Restaurants.

Asador Bastian is also ranked the 13th top steak restaurant in the world.

Asador Bastian' Thomas Kakalios was a 2025 James Beard semifinalist for Outstanding Professional in Beverage Service.

Bavette's was ranked 14th on the list of best steak restaurants in North America.

Swift & Son's was ranked 21st; Gibsons Italia was 42nd; and Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse was 47th.
