5 injured in crash in Country Club Hills, police say

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, Ill. (WLS) -- There was a serious crash involving two vehicles Thursday in the south suburbs.

Chopper 7 was over the scene at 183rd and Cicero in Country Club Hills. Emergency response crews could be seen at the crash site.

Police said an SUV hit a minivan in the intersection around 4:15 p.m.

Two of the people inside the minivan were rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Three other people were also injured.

No further information was immediately available.

Police continue to investigate.
