Daily Herald: Arlington Heights field trip leads to connection with hero

During an 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C., Rob Borland of Arlington Heights found a pin on the ground near the World War II Memorial.

In the process of finding the owner, he got a history lesson, a new friend, and a connection with a hero.
