
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A suspect accused of stabbing and seriously injuring a man in the Loop on Thursday night is in custody, Chicago police said.
Police said the attack happened near State and Randolph streets around 9:15 p.m.
A 25-year-old man approached a group of males outside and began arguing with them, police said.
Police said a 36-year-old man took out a sharp object and stabbed the 25-year-old in the back.
The victim was transported to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition.
Police took the 36-year-old into custody, and charges are pending.
Area Three detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information.
