KEY WEST, Fla. (WLS) -- Goblin shark caught by a shrimper off of Key West gives rare look at the species.

Carl Moore of Georgia said the rare goblin shark fell out of his trawling net as he was catching shrimp.

Goblin sharks live 1,000 to 3,000 feet under the water and feed on squid and fish, so they're rare to see. And to catch. This goblin shark is only the second caught in the Gulf of Mexico and the first caught since 2000, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
