
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A teen was killed and two others were critically hurt in a South Side shooting Tuesday, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened at about 7:40 a.m. in the 5000 block of S. Throop Street, police said.
Police said a 17-year-old boy was outside while two other men were inside a vehicle.
A dark-colored SUV stopped nearby, CPD said someone got out of that car and started shooting at the victims.
The 17-year-old boy was shot multiple times. He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he died.
The two other victims, aged 61 and 55, who were inside the vehicle, drove off to the 5000-block of S. Ashland Avenue.
CPD said the 61-year-old was shot in the back. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
The 55-year-old was shot in the right arm. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
