Green Bay radio station host sings parody Bears fight song: 'Hammond, Indiana'

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Green Bay, Wisconsin radio host sang a parody fight song called "Hammond, Indiana" to mock the Bears moving out of Chicago.

WIXX 101's Andrew Haze performed the parody song.

The radio station posted the clip saying, "Someone had to do it."

The rhythm follows along to "The Music Man" and says "Springfield fumbled; so, we fled the state."

Haze said in an interview: "Oh, the Bears fans are mad! They're so mad! But there's been some very fun comments that I've seen. But otherwise, a lot of people didn't know that I could sing, too. So I was like, it was fun to sing on the air. Other than that, Packers fans very much love it. Bears fans, not so much."

The Chicago Bears' Board of Directors voted to advance a stadium development in Hammond, Indiana, the team said Friday.

"They're making a huge mistake if they don't choose Hammond, in my opinion," Hammond Mayor Tom McDermott previously said.

Gov. JB Pritzker's office said in a statement, "Governor Pritzker has always been clear that he wants the Bears to stay in Illinois and still remains open to a sensible solution that protects taxpayers."
