6 hospitalized after fire breaks out in Hermosa, CFD spokesperson says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Six people were hospitalized after a fire broke out on Chicago's Northwest Side on Monday evening, officials said.

The fire broke out at a building in the Hermosa neighborhood's 4500-block of West Lyndale Avenue.

A Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said six people were transported to local hospitals in good to fair conditions.

What caused the fire was not immediately clear.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
