CHICAGO -- Tuesday is the last day to ship packages using Priority Mail Express for expected delivery before Christmas, according to the U.S. Post Office.

All post offices will be open on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, but most will close at noon.

In observance of the holidays, post offices will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

The post office will make deliveries on Christmas Day, but only for Priority Mail Express packages from senders who requested premium service.
