First Sara Janz Memorial High School Scholarship awarded in honor of late daughter of former ABC7 traffic anchor Roz Varon

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The best of the television business were honored Friday night in Chicago.
The Chicago-Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences inducted its 2026 Silver Circle members during a ceremony at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, 540 N. Michigan Ave.
The Silver Circle honor is for those who have spent 25 years or more in the business.
The late Jim Mastri, who worked as a photographer at ABC7 Chicago for decades, was one of those inducted. Mastri died in 2024 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Also Friday night, the first Sara Janz "Take Your Shot" Memorial High School Scholarship was awarded.
Janz is the late daughter of former longtime ABC7 Chicago traffic anchor Roz Varon. Janz died last year.
