Pedestrian struck, killed in major intersection, Lincolnwood officials say

LINCOLNWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- Lincolnwood police are investigating a a deadly crash involving a pedestrian and a tow truck on Tuesday.

The crash happened at about 6:34 a.m. at the intersection of Touhy and Kildare Avenues, police said.

Officials confirmed a pedestrian was struck and later died at an area hospital.

Officials have not identified the pedestrian

Video from the scene shows officers investigating a tow truck.

Police said Touhy Avenue would be closed in both directions from Kostner to Tripp Avenues until further notice.
