Suburban father wins $550K jackpot using Illinois Lottery app
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A suburban father of five is celebrating a big win after hitting the Lucky Day Lotto jackpot, Illinois Lottery said.

Matthew of Crystal Lake won a $550,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot.
The father of five bought the ticket on the Illinois Lottery app by using a Quick Pick Lottery app.
He matched all five numbers in the Lucky Day Lotto evening drawing on September 10.
"I couldn't believe my eyes. I was just at home, staring at the draw results on the app," said Matthew. "It took a few minutes to sink in that I'd actually won!"
The lucky winner said the money is more than just a lucky break.
"First and foremost, this is for our kids; to give them every opportunity to thrive," he shared. "We've always dreamed of a warm family vacation by the ocean, and now that dream can finally come true."
