Missing boy, 12, found safe, family says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 12-year-old boy who went missing for a little over a day from outside his school on the South Side has been found safe.

His mother confirmed that he was back home Friday night.

Chicago police had been looking for the boy earlier.
