CHICAGO (WLS) -- A teen who pleaded guilty to killing a U.S. Postal Service worker in Chicago has been sentenced five years in juvenile detention.
USPS letter carrier Octavia Redmond, 48, was killed in July 2024 while she was delivering mail in West Pullman.
A teenage boy was charged in her murder. Authorities had arrested him in Iowa.
Police said the juvenile got out of a stolen vehicle and shot her multiple times at close range.
