Snow causes roof collapse at Wilmette post office

WILMETTE, Ill. (WLS) -- A north suburban post office is closed after Monday's snowfall caused its roof to collapse.

Wilmette post office operations have been moved to the Winnetka post office.

Officials do not expect any service impacts.

No employees or customers were inside the building when the collapse happened.

It is unclear when the Wilmette post office, located at 1241 Central Avenue, will reopen.
