CHICAGO (WLS) -- Here's a quick tip about "subscription creep" and how it's quietly draining bank accounts.
Technology experts at CNET say a recent survey shows the average U.S. adult is spending over a thousand dollars a year on subscriptions for things like streaming shows, music, shopping and fitness, and more than $200 of that amount for services they don't even use.
Look out for autopay subscriptions you forgot about, trial offers that quietly convert to charges and bundles that include services you never use.
You can use apps to help you track subscriptions. Also review credit card statements monthly.
