
CHICAGO (WLS) -- February is Heart Health Month, and the American Heart Association is putting particular emphasis on women's heart health on Friday.
The AHA says cardiovascular disease kills more women than all cancers combined.
One of the concerns is stroke. Between 2021 and 2023, More than four million women had a stroke, and women account for more than half of all stroke deaths.
Stroke survivor Lisa Katz and her husband Peter joined ABC7 Thursday night. Lisa is also an American Heart Association Chicago Go Red For Women Board Member.
