Fr. Robert Barron appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A well-known Chicago priest has been named the Auxiliary Bishop of the Los Angeles Archdiocese.

Pope Francis announced Father Robert Barron's appointment Tuesday morning.

Father Barron has been the rector of the Mundelein Seminary since 2012. He's also well-known for his "Word on Fire" documentary series, which explores the Catholic faith.
