PHOTOS: Fire erupts on California roller coaster

A fire erupted on the Colossus roller coaster ride at Magic Mountain in Valencia, California on Monday, September 8th.

The Colossus was shut down on August 16th to be replaced by a newer version of the ride, which was scheduled to open in 2015.

Video from the scene showed a large portion in the middle of a coaster consumed by flames.
