Sauganash Trail search continues after attacks
Chicago police returned to Sauganash Trail where several women have been attacked by a naked or partially clothed man on the city's Northwest Side.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police returned to Sauganash Trail Monday where several women have been attacked by a naked or partially clothed man on the city's Northwest Side.

Last week, a community alert was issued about this offender and if that alert did not get residents' attention, Monday night's search certainly did.

The search near the Sauganash Trial took hours. Police saw a man running away that met the description of a suspect seen last week.

"It's definitely a little bit scary. (Monday) has been a very interesting day, huge presence out here," said Matt Zeman

A community alert was issued after a woman reported that a naked man slapped her bottom.

Neighbors say they have seen the man police are looking for.

"He was holding his clothes up, as if they didn't fit well, and then my neighbor reported to me that she had seen him disrobe," said Chris Stodder.

And Monday sources tell ABC7 Eyewitness News that the man was seen again and a search got underway of the area. The trial is popular in the neighborhood, but residents said there dense areas nearby.

"There's a forest preserve, a cemetery, a defunct rail line, so there's a lot of places where somebody could go and hide," Stodder said.

The suspect is described as olive complexion, 5-6, about 160 pounds, with dark, curly hair. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
