Marine Mammal Assistant Supervisor Tim Ward said mom, 27-year-old Piquet, and baby have been bonding well. Pretty soon, he'll be able to join the rest of the Shedd's dolphin group.

When he was born, the calf was about 3 feet long and weighed around 28 pounds. Now, he weighs about 40 pounds.

Starting Saturday, Shedd Aquarium guests will be able to see Piquet and her son through the Abbott Oceanarium's underwater windows.
