Windy City Live's Val Warner sat down with a panel of experts to discuss the role of race in education, especially in a world complicated by COVID-19.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- ABC 7 Chicago, Chicago's Number One station for news, presents the ninth installment in a series of virtual town halls, DO YOU HEAR ME? A DISCUSSION ABOUT RACE, Thursday, July 30 at 2 PM on abc7chicago.com. The hour-long town hall will be moderated by ABC 7 Windy City LIVE co-host, Val Warner. The virtual town hall will also exclusively stream live on ABC 7's Facebook Live, YouTube, ABC 7's app, and ABC 7's connected TV apps on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV and Roku.

Will those students who have limited access to computers, the Internet and other resources be able to attain a quality education or will they fall behind? These are some of the questions Val and this week's panelists will explore.

In addition, they will take a look at the role of historically Black colleges and universities and how they are providing unique experiences for their students in this time of social activism.

- Stacy Davis Gates, Vice President, Chicago Teachers Union
