Chicago Park District pools open for summer

CHICAGO (WLS) -- It's time to dive into summer fun at public pools in Chicago.

The Chicago Park District's 49 outdoor aquatic centers are now open.

Park District pools offer free open swimming.

You can also register for swim lessons. The first 10-week session is free for children aged 6 to 17.

The outdoor pool season runs through Labor Day.
